The Orlando Magic waived combo guard RJ Hampton on Tuesday and transformed the contract of ahead Admiral Schofield to a typical NBA deal.
Schofield, 25, signed a two-year contract with the Magic in July. He’s averaging 4.6 factors and 13.0 minutes in 27 video games off the bench this season.
Hampton, 22, was averaging 5.7 factors and 13.9 minutes in 26 video games off the bench this season.
Hampton, taken No. 24 general by Milwaukee within the 2020 draft, averages 7.0 factors in 141 profession video games (16 begins) for Denver and the Magic.
