MANILA, Philippines—Nationwide College-Nazareth College received its fourth 2023 Good-NBTC Nationwide Finals after zooming previous FilNation Choose-USA, 75-64, within the Finals of Division 1 at Mall of Asia Enviornment on Sunday.
After a neck-and-neck first three quarters, the Bullpups went on a late fourth quarter surge to tug away from USA behind the heroics of Reinhard Jumamoy.
“We didn’t even suppose that this could be our fourth [title.] I simply advised the boys to deal with this sport like Gilas vs USA. That was the hearth that I used for them to get going on this sport,” coach Kevin de Castro stated.

His stellar efficiency within the NBTC and within the finals earned him the event’s Most Excellent Participant award.
With the rating tied at 63-all within the fourth quarter, Sean Timbang and Reignheart Colonia gave NU a 67-63 cushion with 2:40 minutes remaining. Colonia led his crew with 23 factors.
Jumamoy made a nifty layup to clinch the sport, 70-63, with 1:58 remaining.
Jason Mandaquit Jr. paced USA with 16 factors and 6 boards within the loss whereas Evan Bayla captured a double-double with 13 factors and 10 boards.
Sean Alter, the most recent College of the Philippines recruit, completed six factors for FilNation.
