P17.2-M ‘shabu’ seized from Nigerian in Cavite

LUCENA CITY — A 38-year-old male Nigerian yielded greater than P17.2 million price of “shabu” (crystal meth) when arrested on Jan. 28 by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Company operatives in Basic Trias Metropolis, Cavite.
In a belated report on Sunday afternoon, the PDEA in Area 4A recognized the arrested suspect as Ebuka Ezike, categorized as a “high-value” drug character.
The report stated Ezike, a boutique store proprietor, was collared in a buy-bust operation round 9 a.m. inside a subdivision in Barangay Baclatan.
Authorities confiscated from the suspect 2.5 kilos of shabu with a road worth of P17,250,000.
Police had been conducting additional investigations to find out the supply of the unlawful medication.
The suspect was detained and is dealing with costs of violating the Complete Harmful Medication Act of 2002. INQ
