Son of Character Actor Andy Devine Was 88 – The Hollywood Reporter

Tad Devine, who appeared alongside his father, the favored raspy-voiced character actor Andy Devine, and youthful brother within the Dana Andrews-starring 1946 movie Canyon Passage, has died. He was 88.

Devine died March 22 in Newport Seashore, his household introduced.

At age 17, he turned one among Santa Monica’s youngest lifeguards.

After graduating from highschool in Van Nuys, Devine set swimming information at Stanford College and competed within the U.S. Olympic trials in 1956.
